Classes This Week Black Binders and flip folders will be checked in all band classes this week. Also, athletic shoes are required in all classes. We do choreography/movement every day. Thursday 8/29 will be a Black Marching Shoe rehearsal. Make sure to bring your marching shoes with you for practice. Ladies: You will be able to purchase sock buns starting Monday for $1 per sock bun. Sock buns are for ALL LADIES with long hair--- these will be for hair for football games and contests. Reminder: You must have water and a hat at every rehearsal! Red Robin Spirit Night Come on out on Thursday, 8/29 from 5-9pm for Spirit Night at Red Robin! A portion of the proceeds will be given to the band so grab a bite to eat after practice! WBIC Trip Payment: Percussion: the first WBIC trip payment is due on Friday 8/30! If you have any questions, email Mr. Dillard. GRADES: Please keep up with your grades! The end of the 3 weeks is THIS FRIDAY, 8/30! While eligibility does not change on Friday, the staff will be checking student grades. Fair Share and Game Day Meals: FSA fees and game day meal money should be up to date on Charms! Please check and make sure that everything has been paid for! Game Day Checklist: On Wednesday 8/28, we will send out a Friday Game Day Check list of what materials are needed for our first football game! Be on the look out. Staff will check Monday to confirm, but Marching Band will have a separate time to pick up their tags. Meet the War Eagles: Meet the War Eagles Pep Rally is on Saturday, August 10th 2-3pm at the ORHS JV Field. Report time is 1:30 at the Band Hall. Please wear your pep rally shirt. Astros Game: Our Astros Game performance of the National Anthem is on 8/23 at 6:57 pm! This is our first performance of the season as well as a HUGE opportunity for the band to perform for a NATIONAL audience at a major league event! The last day to buy tickets is 8/10 through Charms. Pre-Game Meals: Whataburger! Chick-Fil-A! Jimmy Johns! Raising Canes! Tropical Smoothie Café! We have plenty of options for our game day meals for this next season.
