Mr. Bouchard is excited to contribute his experience to the Oak Ridge HS tradition of excellence.
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Aaron has long been an avid appreciator of the marching arts. While a student at Rouse High School, Aaron served as a three-year Drum Major, and later was honored to participate in the 2020 and 2021 DCI season as a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard’s drum major team.
Aaron began his trumpet studies with Dr. Kyle Koronka, and was a member of the Baylor University trumpet studio under the guidance of Professors Wiff Rudd and Mark Schubert. While at Baylor, Aaron competed annually alongside his peers in the National Trumpet Competition, reaching large ensemble semifinals in 2023 with Baylor Green. Aaron is also a frequent participant of conducting symposiums, studying under conductor emeritus of the Fort Worth Symphony, Miguel Harth-Bedoya. Prior to student teaching at Cedar Park Middle School and Cedar Park High School, Aaron served as a field technician with the Rouse High School Marching Band for their ‘21-‘22 season, serving as a brass specialist and providing additional lessons to the drum major team.
Aaron is also an avid participant in community ensembles, having served as a pianist at his home church in Round Rock and frequently contributed as a trumpet player in events like Baylor University Sing, theatre productions, recording projects, and holiday concerts. Aaron is thrilled to be working alongside the incredible staff Oak Ridge!
