Madeline Gregory - Assistant Director
Ms. Madeline “Maddie” Gregory is currently in her 5th year as an Assistant Director for the Oak Ridge High School Band in Conroe, Texas. Her duties include assisting with the marching band, overseeing all aspects of woodwind pedagogy for the Oak Ridge Band, conducting the Concert Band and assisting with the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. Prior to working at Oak Ridge, Ms. Gregory was an Assistant Director with the award-winning Keller Middle School Band in Keller ISD where she taught beginner woodwind classes and was the primary conductor for the Concert Band.
As a 2019 graduate of the University of Houston with her degree in Music Education where she studied with John Benzer as her main Music Education professor and Applied Flute with Ms. Peggy Russell of the Houston Ballet.
While at the University of Houston, Ms. Gregory was a member of the Moores School of Music Wind Ensemble, Opera Orchestra. She was also a member of the Spirit of Houston Marching Band for 5 years and served as Flute Section Leader in her second year and Drum Major for her last three years. Ms. Gregory graduated from Pearland High School in 2014 where she served as Drum Major for the Pride of Pearland Marching Band for 2 years.
Ms. Gregory received her Masters of Arts in Band Studies at Sam Houston State University with Dr. Matthew McInturf and Dr. Brian Gibbs.
Outside of teaching, Ms. Gregory enjoys spending time with her family and her Beagle/Dachshund mix, Beanie.
